An Oklahoma family decided to say a prayer before eating dinner at a local restaurant, and they were surprised by one bystander’s reaction. The customer was so moved by the family’s prayer, they decided to pay for their meals.

The event happened at a restaurant called Jimmy’s Egg in Yukon, Oklahoma, and it has since gained a lot of attention.

KFOR-TV reported that, when the family had finished their meal and were ready for the bill, their waitress instead brought them a note from another customer. They then discovered that the anonymous customer had paid for their meals and left them a positive note. The note said, “Becasue you prayed, we paid.” It also expressed admiration for the way the family was raising their children.

The writer of the note encouraged the family to continue to raise their children with Christ, and according to Sherry Thompson, the assistant manager at Jimmy’s Egg, the mother who received the note was nearly in tears because of the kind message.

The woman, who has remained unnamed, posted the note on her Facebook page, and it has gone viral. But according to Thompson, this isn’t something that rarely happens at the small restaurant, which is a favorite breakfast spot among locals.

Thompson said that she has seen a lot of people pay it forward while working at the restaurant. She also noted that she sees a lot of this kindness during the holiday season because the people that frequent the restaurant are so kind. She added that, although there are many nice people, there are always those who are not so nice, and it always makes her feel good to be reminded that there are still kind people out there.
