Every December (and sometimes even earlier), people around the world go all out to display their Christmas spirit. They deck their halls out with lights, inflatable decorations, and light-up lawn ornaments.

It’s a huge business, too–it’s estimated that Americans alone will spend $6 billion on holiday decorations this year. That number will become a lot less surprising when you watch this next video. Just when you thought you’d seen every Christmas decoration possible, somebody stepped their Christmas game up to a new level.

An Indiana family decided to sync up their lights to a rendition of the gospel classic “Amazing Grace.” The word “syncing” is actually underselling this display. A gorgeously-wrapped display of white lights shimmers and blinks completely in complete precision with the music.

This guy might have a calling doing light displays for huge concerts. Their song choice is significant; they feel it’s important that people remember the “reason for the season,” the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s an important message to remember in the often-stressful time of year.

In that spirit, they dedicated the display to the Riley Children’s Hospital in Indiana . We’re completely impressed by this video and the message it sends.

We’d love to have a display like this, but frankly we’re lucky if we hang a couple of rows of lights without getting them tangled or electrocuting ourselves! Thanks for checking this out; share this story if someone you know could use a little bit of holiday inspiration.
