Curt Schilling was the Red Sox ace who performed brilliantly in the World Series win for the iconic Boston team. It was Game Six at Yankee Stadium, and the bloody sock was in full view, as he pitched with a torn tendon sheath.

The rest, as they say, is history. The baseball great also showed his moxie when some internet trolls invaded a personal message to his daughter.

Papa Schilling went on Twitter and tweeted congrats to Gabby who would be pitching for Salve Regina Seahawks next year.
Apparently, some nasty trolls sent some very dirty messages via tweets to Schilling’s daughter, saying what they would enjoy doing to her. The baseball icon wasn’t going to take that in any form, and immediately, he blasted the Twitter trolls in his blog, 38 Pitches.

The ace eloquently scolds two of the trolls, one a frat boy and the other a disc jockey. One of his two sentences read: “These boys have yet to understand one of life’s most important lessons. In the real world you get held accountable for the things you say and if you are not careful that can mean some different things.”

You can read Curt Schilling’s entire post here at his blog. He went on the warpath to protect Gabby, because she became upset about the vulgar tweets by men she didn’t even know.

He blasted the trolls who have “grown up behind the monitor and keyboard.” Now, that’s a cool dad.
