It was a typical football game for the players and the cheerleaders at Central Catholic High School in San Antonio.

The cheerleaders all had their fathers on the field to hold them on their shoulders during a routine. Addie didn’t have her father at the game because he is in the military and was in another country at the time.

That’s when a student in the stands stepped in to help. Addie talked to a local television station after the game and told them that she felt as though someone saved her that night. Her father is serving the country, and she was thankful that someone was so nice to be there for her. Addie felt that she was alone on the field while the others had someone there.

She already misses her father and talk to him when she can, but being the only girl without a father among the other cheerleaders was heartbreaking. She knows that her father goes away for a reason, but that doesn’t help with the sadness. During the performance, Addie saw a young man run from the bleachers.

He picked her up like the other fathers so that she wouldn’t be left out.

The student who helped is a senior at the school.
