Lois Hicks passed away in April 2016. She was 88-years-old. The day after she passed, the family gathered at the funeral home to say their final goodbyes.

A woman who was not related to the family decided to come into the funeral home. She asked if she could use the bathroom. The people in the funeral stated that it was okay for her to use the bathroom.

However, the woman never went to the bathroom. She went up to the deceased woman and stole the ring instead. Lois’s daughter, Vel, noticed that the ring was missing and called the police.

The woman left the room and fled in her vehicle before the police arrived at the funeral home. It also took the police officers several days to track the woman down. The 41-year-old woman has been charged with theft.

Vel has stated that she cannot believe that someone who stoop so low. Not only did the woman steal Lois’s ring, but she also took a portion of her skin off.

There was something very important that the thief should have known before she stole the ring. The ring was not real. It was a fake plastic one that only cost $10.
