Even though Asher Nash is only 15-months-old, he has already overcome many challenges in his life. He was diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome, but his mom is determined to make sure that he lives a normal life.
Asher’s mother, Meagan, stated that she wants to share his beauty with the world. She submitted Asher’s photos to OshKosh B’Gosh. She did not hear anything back from the company, so she decided to contact the talent agency.
Meagan was told that OshKosh B’Gosh was not looking for a special needs child. She was disappointed, but she eventually reached out to a company called Changing The Face Of Beauty.
Asher’s picture was also posted on the Kids With Down Syndrome. The photo was shared over 100,000 times and received 89,000 likes. Meagan wrote about why she feels her son should be able to model for OshKosh B’ Gosh in the Facebook post.
A marketing representative from OshKosh B’ Gosh reached out to Ms. Nash. They did not promise anything, but they stated that there is a possibility that Asher could have a career in modeling.
They also agree that there needs to be more special needs children in the modeling world. Meagan stated that she never intended to slam the company. However, she wanted to take a stand for people with special needs.
