In a North Carolina community there is a family that is very grateful for their loyal dog, Killian. The story begins not long after the parents of Finn Jordan hired Alexis Khan to care for their infant son. As most parents they thought they had hired someone they could trust to love and protect their sweet baby while they were away.
They thought he was being well cared for and didn’t have concerns until the family dog let them in on a secret. The secret was that Khan had been physically and verbally abusing the baby since he was about two months old. The parents had no idea that there was a problem, let alone that it had been going on for at least 5 months.
However, the family dog was the one who brought this to the parents attention. Killian is normally a very friendly and sweet tempered dog, especially to the family and those she is familiar with. The parents noticed that the normally friendly Killian became very agressive and anxious when Khan would come around. Her behavior became even more unusual when she tried to approach Finn. This sent up several “Red Flags”. They decided they needed to know what was going on between Khan, Killian, and Finn when they weren’t home. So they installed an audio recorder.
In no time at all they had their answers. What they heard was appalling. They could hear Kahn hit the baby and verbally abuse him. After the abuse was documented the parents wasted no time in going to the police. Kahn was arrested and found guilty of child abuse. She is now in jail serving time for the child abuse she is responsible for doing to Finn Jordan.
Finn is a happy and healthy little boy that has a best friend and protector in their loving and loyal pet, Killian. After 5 months of abuse this canine found the way to end the secrecy and get help for Finn.
It’s nice to know that there are still good spirits on this earth and that at least one of them lives in a dog named Killian.
