Ask any woman and she will tell you that she has a higher tolerance for pain than men. She’ll point to childbirth as a primary example, but she’ll also mention things like leg waxing.
Before you start to laugh you might want to check out a recent slow motion video that shows a couple of big strong men getting their own legs waxed. The video will probably make you laugh, but it will also make you squirm.
Filmmakers Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy are very proficient in the art of extreme slow motion photography. They even have their own YouTube channel where you can watch films they have shot at 28,000 frames per second.
This method of shooting creates an extreme slow motion video which can be very revealing. In this case, the video reveals just what happens when legs are waxed. The images are sort of disturbing. More entertaining, though, are the reactions of Gavin and Daniel as their leg hair is being removed.
As you might expect, social media exploded with a barrage of humorous comments. Most were from women who seemed to take a perverse pleasure in seeing men subjected to leg waxing.
