Like many millennials who have grown up with social media, 30-year-old Chloe Lattanzi has grown very accustomed to seeking the approval of strangers on the Internet.

The model, who is the daughter of pop idol Olivia Newton-John, is well-known on Instagram for her frequent selfies depicting herself having undergone various forms of plastic surgery and other cosmetic adjustments.

However, she is getting more attention lately for a post that goes a little bit further than skin-deep. Lattanzi got very confessional in a recent post and said that she longs for true connection with others, something she finds difficult to obtain from a distance online.

She noted that she is more than just a pretty face and that none of her physical features define who she is. Lattanzi pleaded with her fans to understand that there is much more than a model or someone who has spent thousands and thousands of dollars trying to fix her perceived physical flaws.

Along with her body image struggles, Lattanzi has wrestled with addictions and eating disorders. These interconnected issues have given her a sense of empathy for others going through the same feelings of inadequacy.

Now, she is trying to use her platform as a celebrity to encourage everyone to be just a little bit kinder to each other. While most of her online followers may not know her in person, this is a valuable piece of advice from which they can derive real benefits in their ordinary lives.
