For 90 years now, See’s Candies has been making sweet treats for the masses. The See family, including Charles See, his wife Florence and his mother, established the famous candy shoppe with a collection of special recipes that featured only the highest, freshest quality ingredients.

Today, those vintage recipes still stand. See’s is known for its rich fudge.

We’ve got the famous recipe below, thanks to an 84-year-old woman who used to work at See’s. Ingredients:3 (6-ounce) packages of chocolate chips-Use top quality chips 1 (12-ounce) can of evaporated milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup of butter 2 cups chopped walnuts 1 (7-ounce) jar of marshmallow cream 4 cups sugar Candy thermometer Directions: Butter a 913 pan and set aside.

Place a large pot over medium heat; add sugar and evaporated milk to pot. Stir until sugar dissolves. Bring to a rolling boil, for about 20-25 minutes. Don’t stir much.

It’s ready when it reaches the softball stage. This can be tested on a candy thermometer. Keep in mind that it should be firm, but not hard. Remove pot from heat and toss in chocolate chips and butter.

Beat mixture with a large spoon until thick and a bit cooler. This should take several minutes. Add vanilla and continue mixing until blended well. Add marshmallow cream and nuts. Stir until mixed.

Pour mixture into pre-buttered pan. Pat down and spread out. Place in refrigerator and cool. Cut it into squares and serve. This amazing fudge will go fast.
